Our people make Hutchison Technologies a great place to work and we’re pleased to shine the spotlight on another member of our talented team. In our latest Meet the Team feature, we meet Marketing Manager Eva Deckers. We asked Eva to tell us a little about her role and what she enjoys most about working at Hutchison Technologies.

Eva said, “As Marketing Manager, I play a leading role in creating a positive and exciting narrative about Hutchison Technologies that existing and new clients want to engage with. I’m responsible for overall delivery of all customer-facing content and generating new business leads. This includes brand and campaign management, event organising, and providing direct support to other teams – primarily the Sales team – to ensure we deliver a high quality, consistent customer experience for our clients."

“From a people perspective, I manage our ‘creative team’ (which includes Graphic Designer Mike Brown and Marketing Executive Amy Scott), ensuring we’re working towards our business goals and they’re reaching their personal objectives. I’ve also recently taken on some additional digital responsibilities while we’re looking for our next digital superstar to join the team.”

“On a day-to-day basis, you might find me building and analysing campaign strategies, managing ads, creating or proofing new written content, visual graphics and brochures, making changes to websites, and supporting with tender submissions or individual pitches for clients.”

Eva was attracted to Hutchison Technologies because of the shared values she felt when speaking to Mark Hutchison for the first time. She said, “I loved Mark’s attitude and personality. What I took away from our earliest conversations – and has remained true – is that integrity, openness, and a passion to genuinely improve the client experience are the desired traits for all Hutchison Technologies colleagues.”

She also appreciates the freedom to explore and innovate. Eva said, “The role itself is incredibly varied and I really love being able to approach projects in different – sometimes untested – ways. Being judged on the end result has allowed our team the creativity and space to ‘think outside the box’ and develop new approaches – including our quarterly ‘lookbooks’ and the brand refresh.”

Currently, Eva is working on a behavioural content marketing strategy and a lead nurturing project, which aims to generate quality leads for our Sales team. She’s also supporting Mike and Amy to ensure they’re ready for Eva’s maternity leave in 2023.

In the longer term (and once she’s back from maternity leave), she’ll focus her energies on strengthening Hutchison Technologies' brand identity and recognition across a range of sectors. Eva said, “I’d like to increase the number and quality of marketing leads coming into the business and into the sales pipeline from new industries. I also want to support the team to ensure we’re always pushing to develop better, more engaging marketing content for our colleagues and clients.”

Outside of work, Eva has an eclectic range of hobbies including weightlifting, knitting, photography, painting and pottery. She also enjoys listening to and playing music. She said, “I’ve been musically active since I was very young and have collected a varied range of instruments over the years. Of course, I keep them all – just in case I ever want to pick them back up again.”

Eva also has two fantastic cats who have very sociable lives and are popular with the neighbours!
