Personal information collected on this site may be shared between Hutchison Technologies’ subdivisions. Our subdivisions include Hutchison Technologies Audio Visual, Hutchison Technologies Feature & FX Lighting, Hutchison Technologies Smart ID, Hutchison Technologies Access Control, and Hutchison Technologies Voice & Data. Information will only be used for the purposes of communications regarding the services you have expressed an interest in and our related services.

Our CCTV Policy 

Introduction

In its everyday business operations Hutchison Technologies collects and stores records of CCTV recordings at its premises at 15 Luna Place, Dundee Technology Park, Dundee, DD2 1TP and at Innovation Centre, 1 Harrison Road, Dundee, DD2 3SN.

It is important that these records are protected from loss, destruction, falsification, unauthorised access and unauthorised release and a range of controls are used to ensure this, including backups, access control and encryption.

Hutchison Technologies also has a responsibility to ensure that it complies with all relevant legal, regulatory and contractual requirements in the collection, storage, retrieval and destruction of records. Of particular relevance is the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its requirements concerning the storage and processing of personal data.

This control applies to all systems, people and processes that constitute the organisation’s information systems, including board members, directors, employees, suppliers and other third parties who have access to Hutchison Technologies systems.

CCTV Policy

This policy begins by establishing the main principles that must be adopted when considering CCTV recording and retention of data.

Purposes of CCTV
The CCTV system is operated on Hutchison Technologies premises for the safety and security of the people we support, our staff, buildings, information located or stored on the premises, and assets.

The CCTV system may be used to investigate security incidents in order to secure evidence, should such incidents occur.

Purpose Limitation
The CCTV system will not be used for any other purpose than stated above e.g. this is not used to monitor staff work or attendance.

Roles and Responsibilities
The CCTV system is operated and maintained internally, and access is restricted to authorised personnel.

Description and siting of Cameras
The CCTV is an Axis and HiK vision network camera.

All Cameras operated over a 24-hour period 7 days per week.

CCTV equipment is sited in such a way that it only monitors those areas intended.

If it is not possible to restrict coverage the owner of a property or space will be informed.

Signage
In is essential that CCTV recording in use signs are displayed and are clearly visible to staff and the public.

The signage contains the following information:

  • Image of a camera
  • Wording: WARNING These premises are under 24 hour CCTV surveillance

Retention of Information and processing
Images are not retained for longer than is considered necessary for the purposes they were processed. There for unless the images are required for evidence in criminal proceedings they will not be retained beyond a maximum of 31 days.

Access to Images
Only in exceptional circumstances may images be disclosed to those carrying out a formal internal investigation or disciplinary procedure, where it can reasonably be expected that the disclosure of the images may help the investigation or prosecution of a sufficiently serious disciplinary offence or a criminal offence.

Data Subject Access Request
Under the GDPR, an individual has the right to view any personal information held about them by Hutchison Technologies. Contact should be made through the details below where you will be asked to complete an access request form.
