Meet the Team | Chris Reid, Senior Project Engineer
Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m a project engineer who started with Hutchison Technologies as a trainee in June 2009. Outside of work, I’m married with three children – a nine-year-old and five-year-old twins. I don’t have a huge amount of free time, but I enjoy cycling in fair weather and the occasional night out!
Tell us about the main aspects of your role.
I work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure all UK projects are completed to a high standard and that we deliver for our customers. I also support other field-based installation engineers.
What’s the best thing about your job?
I enjoy the variety. There’s a broad spectrum of work we undertake, and I enjoy being on site from start to finish. There’s a lot of satisfaction that comes from seeing a project through from start to finish.
What makes you stay at Hutchison Technologies?
My respect and admiration for Mark Hutchison. Also, my core team. We share the same values around quality and improvement, and want to support the business to grow.
If coronavirus is a teacher, what has it taught you?
There are positives in most situations, if you look for them. Coronavirus has taught me to value my time more and to be grateful for the time with my family.
