Our people make Hutchison Technologies a great place to work and we’re pleased to shine a spotlight on another member of our talented team. In our latest Meet the Team feature, we meet Senior Software Developer Andrew Rae. We asked Andrew to tell us a little about his role and what he enjoys most about working at Hutchison Technologies.

Andrew said, “I’m a member of the Research and Development team. We’re an innovative and agile team, which means that no two days are the same. One day, we could be focussed on setting up server infrastructure as code that we can reliably redeploy; the next day, we could be working on web services or even communicating with clients to secure requirements that will enable us to design new systems and address their pain points.”

Andrew said he thrives in this environment, “Adapting to new challenges helps keep me sharp.”

Right now Andrew is focused on designing and implementing a multi-purpose access management solution. He said, “We’re currently deploying infrastructure and will undertake development soon.”

Outside of work, you’ll likely find Andrew enjoying music – he plays synth/keyboard in a band. “I’ll probably be hidden away in a dark room somewhere; either making electronic music surrounded by synthesisers and drum machines with blinking sequencer lights. My home office is starting to look like the inside of a spaceship!"
